Taking place at Marine House on 28th, 29th, 30th May and 5th, 6th June from 9:00 AM to 4:15 PM, this course dives deep into the science and art of breadmaking. You’ll explore fermentation, the role of key ingredients, and master professional techniques such as mixing, proofing, shaping, and baking.


You’ll gain practical skills in crafting a variety of artisan breads, including:

  • Multigrain Yeast Bread

  • Enriched Dough

  • Ciabatta / Focaccia

  • Baguette / Fougasse


Alongside hands-on training, the course also covers the milling process, types and classes of flour, and the use of baking tins in a professional environment.

There is one assessment during the course, and upon successful completion, you will receive the FDQ Level 2 Component Award in Process Bread using the Bulk Fermentation Process — a recognized qualification in the baking industry.


No prior baking experience is required — just enthusiasm and proficiency in spoken and written English.
