This course equips the learner with the knowledge, skill, and competence to identify, prioritise, and implement a series of resource efficiency actions. These actions are in the areas of water, energy, waste and materials and can be implemented by employees in the business/workplace.

Prior Knowledge
Applicants seeking entry onto the programme must have reached the Leaving Certificate
standard or have a QQI Level 4 or equivalent qualification in a related subject.
Applicants must have a good command of the English Language in both
written, numerical and verbal form.
Certification
QQI Level 5 Minor Award in Resource Efficiency for a Sustainable Workplace.

This course is fully funded to those currently in employment under the Skills To Advance initiative.

Resource Efficiency for a Sustainable Workplace will equip you, as an employee in the workplace, with the knowledge, skills and competence to identify, prioritise, and implement a series of resource efficiency actions. These actions are in the areas of water, energy, waste and materials and can be implemented by employees in the business/workplace.

Outline the process required to implement resource efficiency improvements in their workplace or business.

Assess the performance of their workplace or business in terms of energy use, material use, water use and waste production through tracking use and costs, and benchmarking.

Identify and prioritise resource efficiency improvement actions suitable for their workplace or business in the areas of energy, water, waste, and material use.
