  • Explain the meaning of key terms used in supply chain management

  • Evaluate the role of strategic planning within the business environment including the difference
    between strategic and operational planning as applied to both national and international
    organisations

  • Apply the principles of outsourcing to a business environment in the context supply chain management

  • Detail the supply chain considerations for businesses entering international markets including the range of
    options available for distribution

  • Analyse the relationship between internal and external supply chains in both national and
    international environments

  • Evaluate the main principles underpinning quality systems to include the contribution to theory and
    practice of appropriate national and international organisations

  • Propose appropriate key performance indicators suitable for supply chain management in a range of
    organizations operating in both the national and international environment

  • Analyse the role of supply chain management in environmental protection, including the relationships
    to waste management, sustainable energy, litter, and air and water pollution
